Preparation Tips To Crack IDBI Executive Exam:

Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Analysis, and Interpretation are the main areas to focus on for the preparation. Here are some tips to get strong in it!!

1. Quantitative Aptitude:

Topics: Number SeriesData Interpretation, Quadratic Equations, Miscellaneous Topics, Simplification / Approximation and etc.

The trick to scoring marks in the Quantitative Aptitude Section is to attempt the questions on Quadratic Equations, Simplification, and Approximation first and then going for Number Series. After having attempted all questions from Quantitative Aptitude efficiently, go for Data Interpretation. The remaining few questions will be based on miscellaneous topics like CI & SI, Time and Work, etc. Attempt those other topics first which you are good at. Try to cover each and every question by reading them so that the maximum number of questions are attempted.

2. Logical Reasoning, Data Analysis, and Interpretation:

Topics: Seating Arrangement, Input-Output, Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning,  Puzzles, Inequality, Syllogism, Miscellaneous - Blood Relations, Direction based problems, order and ranking, alphanumeric series, etc.

The easy way to score logical reasoning and other topics are to attend maximum number questions in minimum time. Start with the questions that are not in the form of puzzles, you can choose to start with the questions based on inequalities, direction and distance, alphanumeric series, and other random topics. Then try to start solving puzzles that appear easy and proceed with ones that are moderate and difficult puzzles in a similar way.

3. English Language Section:

Topics: Spotting Errors, Sentence Improvement/ Correction, Para Jumbles, Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Sentence Formation, etc.

The trick for scoring in the English section can differ from one person to another depending on the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses. If you are strong at vocab and reading then you should attempt the reading comprehension first and then proceed with Cloze Test and similar other topics like Para Jumbles, Error Detection, etc. But if you are strong at grammar, try to attempt Comprehension in the end. The comprehension also should be attempted in a way that questions based on vocab/phrases are attempted first and then the questions that need a long process through the paragraphs are done with.

4. General Awareness Section:

Prepare for this section with Newspapers that contain daily affairs relating to economics, banks Etc. Reading current affairs makes you score in this section.

Last Minute Preparation:

  • Make Proper Study Plan
